SELECTION PROCESS
For Field Officer: Selection process consists of Computer Based Test followed by Group
Discussion and Personal Interview.
For Junior Field Engineer/Officer: Selection process involves Computer Based Test only. The
provisionally shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.
Candidates shall be able to obtain information about their application status & other related
information through candidate login at the SJVN Online Application System and/or through
registered email ID.
Test Centers: For the post of Field Officer, candidates have to choose from following test centers:
• New Delhi
• Chandigarh
• Dehradun
• Shimla
Computer Based Test: For the post of Field Officer, the test will be in two parts, Part-I will consist
of 120 multiple choice questions of the relevant discipline and Part-II will consist of 30 multiple
choice questions on Executive Aptitude.
For the post of Junior Field Engineer/ Officer, the test will be in two parts, Part-I will consist of 70
multiple choice questions of the relevant discipline and Part-II will consist of 30 multiple choice
questions on General Aptitude except for Official Language where Part -I (a) & (b) shall consist of
60 questions on translation, Part-I(c) shall consist of 25 questions on Hindi Literature and Part-II
shall consist of 15 questions on General Aptitude.
